So, we are live and working towards growing the greater Port Alfred Online community by providing information on businesses, events and news as well as interesting blogs on a variety of subjects like people, places, products and whatever may be of interest to you, the user. This will only be possible with your co-operation and we look forward to hearing from you and getting your input as well! If you know of an upcoming event , or of relevant news the community should be made aware of, let us know. If you have something interesting to contribute in terms of Port Alfred’s history, people, places or even just a recipe for really tasty pancakes, write a blog post and we will share it!
To celebrate the launch of the Port Alfred Online directory we are giving away R1000 to a lucky patron of one of the businesses in the directory, as well as R500 to the employee that served you, and to top it all off, the business will be listed for free in 2022! The rules, terms and conditions can be accessed HERE, but in short:
- Follow Port Alfred Online on either the Facebook page or Instagram account
- support one of the listed businesses by purchasing one of their special offers listed between 1 and 28 December,
- take a picture of the slip showing the business name and special and WhatsApp it to 083 734 0820 with your name and either your Instagram handle or Facebook name used to follow Port Alfred Online
- Include the name of the server that assisted/served you so they can win R500 as well
It’s as easy as that!
Now, this online directory is a continual work in progress, with new businesses and categories being added on a regular basis. Over and above the directory which provides information on the businesses listed, our Instagram (portalfredonline) and Facebook page (Port Alfred Online) post special offers available at participating businesses, so be sure to follow us on your platform of choice to benefit.
Lastly, a special shout-out to Jaco van Rensburg for graciously providing the stunning picture used on our front page, social media accounts and poster. His work can be viewed on www.railtime.co.za.
